Course Background Information
The Man O’War Golf Course is a Par 71 course that opened in 1996. The course was designed by Dan Maples. The Head Pro is Steve Frishmuth and the General Manager is Randy Broughton.
Man O’War is a course with very little roll. This is particularly true in summer but throughout the year, and that means that even big hitters will find a challenge here. Lush, green and relatively flat, this may be what you call a typical Myrtle Beach golf course, and that’s a compliment.
The course features amazing scenery. That and its layout helped it earn a four-star rating from Golf Digest. The signature holes on this course are the 17th and 18th. This is a fantastic one-two punch that can spoil the day of a golfer who’s otherwise managed to stay dry up to this point.
The Man O’War Golf Course has electric carts, a driving range, a practice putting green, a Pro Shop, a snack bar, rental clubs, golf instructors, and servers beer and wine. The Man O’War course has a really cool looking clubhouse built over the lake with a nice outdoor deck.
There are no caddies and no golf bag storage.
It is highly recommended that a tee time is booked before hand. You may book via phone between 7am and 6pm or online. A prepaid security deposit is required.
